Right, can a driver back out of a medical questionnaire? Absolutely, and it's a smart feature for sensitive situations.
Every questionnaire has a "Withdraw and contact my manager" button right at the bottom. If a driver hits that:
- The questionnaire gets marked as 'withdrawn' in the system.
- Heads up — no answers are stored. This is crucial for privacy.
- Your organisation's medical reviewers will get an email straight away. It'll be titled "Medical questionnaire — driver requested a callback: [name]".
- That driver's link? It's invalidated immediately, even if their 14-day time-to-live (TTL) hadn't expired yet.
Think of this as the go-to option when a driver has something a bit sensitive they'd rather discuss verbally than put down in writing.
Once that withdrawal happens, the reviewer needs to reach out to the driver by phone. They should document that conversation in their own clinical record — not in the app, mind you. From there, they'll decide if the driver's Section 88 status needs adjusting or if a fresh assessment is required.
If the driver later decides they do want to complete the questionnaire, no drama. Just send them a new assessment from the Medical tab.
Keeping on top of driver medicals is a breeze when the platform handles the heavy lifting, keeping you compliant without the headache.
