How do I add policies, procedures, resource or external link to websites?

Right, let's get those essential policies, procedures, and handy external links where your team can actually find them. Nothing to it.

First Things First: Getting to the Resources Panel

  1. Head over to Comms in the Sidebar.
  2. Click on Resources in the top right corner.
  3. Then, hit Show Management Panel. This panel will pop open, giving you two clear sections: Add New Document and New links.

Option 1: Uploading a Document (PDFs Only, Please)

Heads up: this section is strictly for PDF documents. 1. In the Add New Document section, type in the name of your document. Make it clear and concise. 2. From the dropdown, choose the section that best describes what kind of document it is. 3. Click Choose File and navigate your PC to find the PDF you want to upload. 4. Once you've selected it, click Upload Document. 5. If all goes well, your document will appear below. Your drivers will instantly see this in their Driver App under the More Tools & Resources section. Fire prevention beats fire fighting – get those policies out there!

Option 2: Linking to External Websites

This is perfect for government guides (think driver hours or walkaround checks) or any other useful external site. 1. On your PC, open the website you want to link to. This could be your own company's T&Cs page or a critical guide. 2. Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar. 3. Back in DDIR, paste that URL into the field labelled "example url". 4. Give your link a good, descriptive name. Something like "The Highway Code" or "Vulnerable Users" works a treat. 5. Select whether it's a Government Guides link or falls under External Resources. 6. Finally, press Add Link. It'll show up below and be immediately accessible to your drivers in their Driver App.

See? Keeping your team informed and compliant is a breeze when DDIR does the heavy lifting.
