Right, let's talk about PMI Analysis. This is the one auditors love to see done right, and it's key for a full picture of your fleet's health. We strongly recommend that every completed PMI event gets a proper analysis by a competent person – ideally, that's you, the Transport Manager, or your Responsible Person.
Completing a PMI Event
First things first, anyone can mark a PMI event as complete. Think of it as logging the paperwork once the inspection itself is done.
- Add the PMI document.
- Choose the actual date of completion. This is crucial – it's the date the supervisor signed the inspection as roadworthy.
- Save the event. Nothing to it.
Performing the PMI Analysis
Now, for the actual analysis – this bit's for the Transport Manager or Responsible Person. It's about adding that layer of insight.
- Click on the PMI Analysis Tab.
- Carefully answer the few questions listed there.
Heads up — if you do this diligently for every single PMI event, DDIR can then generate a complete SIPCAT for that vehicle in reporting. That's gold for compliance and robust fleet management.
Keeping your PMI analysis sharp means DDIR makes compliance a breeze, not a burden.
